My wife and I again this year fished at Rodger’s, it continues to be a highlight in our yearly world travels. We have already made our reservation to return next year. This year the fishing was as good as ever, we brought back over 160 lbs. of salmon, halibut, yellow eye and ling fillets. We fished about 25 hours to catch that amount of fish. The lodge remains the same providing clean quality accommodations. Rodger’s Lodge is a “fisherman’s” paradise. The quality of fishing is as good as any Alaska fishing trip you will ever take (this from a person who lived 5 years in Alaska). Average fish sizes are Kings 20-30 lb., Coho 10-20 lbs. and Halibut 40-70 lbs. We would say the vast majority of guests take home their limit of salmon and halibut. One first time group of 5 guests we met this year actually had to phone home to Home Depot to have some extra freezers delivered to their house while they were fishing to store all the fish they caught. That is a quality fishing problem to have! We have now fished Rodger’s for several years and plan on returning for many years to come. Whether you are a hard core angler or a novice looking for your first try at salt water fishing we cannot think of a better choice than Rodger’s. The have one thing no other lodge has and that is location. Simply stated they sit at the door to the best consistent salmon, halibut and ling fishing on the entire BC/Alaska coast.

I have been to several different lodges on the coastal waters of British Columbia. Rodgers is certainly my favorite. Some of the others are more fancy than Rodgers but I think that is why I like it the best. From the time you arrive at the pick up point until you are dropped off everything is great. This year I had two "rookie" fisherman with me. We had awesome guides ( I won't provide names incase you pick the some week as me in 2016 Ha ha) and we all caught a lot of fish. We limited out on Salmon, Halibut & Ling Cod. We did not even fish on Sunday. The meals are all served home style and all tasted excellent. Accommodations were very comfortable although we spent most of our non fishing time sitting on the deck enjoying the fantastic scenery. Do yourself a favor and book your 2016 fishing trip at Rodgers.

This was my 8th year going out to Rodgers Fishing Lodge. I can't say enough good things about the overall experience and outstanding service. The fishing is second to none, accommodations are very comfortable and close to the fishing grounds, the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly.
I am already planning for my trip for the 2016 season!
