Important Information About Fly In Packages

If you are thinking about flying in for a 3 night / 4 day package you are looking at a Thursday to Sunday stay. If you would like to come in for a 4 night / 5 day package you are looking at a Sunday to Thursday stay.

Flights to Rodgers Fishing lodge depart NW Seaplanes at 9:30AM, and they require passengers to check-in one hour prior, at 8:30AM. If you plan to fly to Seattle on the same day as your flight to Rodgers Fishing Lodge, you would need to arrive in Sea-Tac by 7:30AM. We highly recommend flying to Seattle the night before and staying at the Red Lion Renton. When booking, tell them you are flying with NW Seaplanes for a reduced room rate. The Red Lion Renton also has a complimentary shuttle that will pick you up at Sea-Tac when you arrive and bring you to the NW Seaplanes terminal the morning of your flight.

For your return flight from our Lodge, NW Seaplanes will depart our Lodge at approximately 1:30 PM and arrive back at their terminal about 4:30PM. We recommend not booking travel out of Sea-Tac before 7:00PM to allow for customs clearance, unloading aircraft, and fish packaging. NW Seaplanes will transport your fish in bags and upon your arrival at their terminal in Seattle they will box your catch in airline-approved wet lock boxes with adequate gel ice for your return trip home. The cost of this service is included in your package price. All travelers flying with NW Seaplanes will need a passport.

Please Note: Prices do not include tax. If paying in other than Canadian funds exchange rates are calculated for the day reservations are made. Please check the current exchange rates the day you make your reservation.

My wife and I again this year fished at Rodger’s, it continues to be a highlight in our yearly world travels. We have already made our reservation to return next year. This year the fishing was as good as ever, we brought back over 160 lbs. of salmon, halibut, yellow eye and ling fillets. We fished about 25 hours to catch that amount of fish. The lodge remains the same providing clean quality accommodations. Rodger’s Lodge is a “fisherman’s” paradise. The quality of fishing is as good as any Alaska fishing trip you will ever take (this from a person who lived 5 years in Alaska). Average fish sizes are Kings 20-30 lb., Coho 10-20 lbs. and Halibut 40-70 lbs. We would say the vast majority of guests take home their limit of salmon and halibut. One first time group of 5 guests we met this year actually had to phone home to Home Depot to have some extra freezers delivered to their house while they were fishing to store all the fish they caught. That is a quality fishing problem to have! We have now fished Rodger’s for several years and plan on returning for many years to come. Whether you are a hard core angler or a novice looking for your first try at salt water fishing we cannot think of a better choice than Rodger’s. The have one thing no other lodge has and that is location. Simply stated they sit at the door to the best consistent salmon, halibut and ling fishing on the entire BC/Alaska coast.
